Why am I blogging? Ideally I want to generate traffic to my website and build my business. Hopefully my blog entries attract regular readers that think to hire me as a consultant. My blog will force me to write a new weekly topic.
I like the idea that my blog could become a platform to exchange ideas and build awareness of other perspectives. I work at home and I’m most creative when I’m exchanging ideas. It’s basically a way to participate in the global community. My blog will be business focused, although the daily observational blog sounds like a lot of fun.
I also like that every week you take a risk when you post a blog entry. Will my idea fail, will anyone read my blog, will I share too much, will I share too little, will I have a question that I don’t know the answer, will I run out of ideas, will I write a great post. Sometimes I’ll be successful and sometimes I’ll fail. It forces me to get okay with this notion and just put myself out there. I’ll be committing my words to a permanent record. Here is to starting.
