I started my blog, One Eyed Queen, for a couple of reasons. First, I had time on my hands, and it seemed like a good activity to keep me occupied. The other was to remind myself that I can do anything I set my mind to. I know I want to and can be of service in this world... this blog is one of the tools I'm using to help me find out what that's going to look like.
There's an old proverb (aren't they all old?) that says, "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." To me, that means I just need to know a little bit more than someone else to be able to be of help or service to them. So while I'm still figuring out what the next steps of my journey are, I'm setting the course for being that person who helps. Maybe something I write will inspire someone else in a positive way. Maybe I can make someone laugh on a day when they might not have otherwise.
All I know is, I'm starting to use my voice, and it feels like it's leading me in a positive direction.
